Sevilay Kilmen

Dr. Sevilay Kilmen is a Professor of Measurement and Evaluation, data scientist, and senior methodologist. After an academic career spanning more than eighteen years in Türkiye, she chose to leave her comfort zone and rebuild her professional journey in Canada. She currently contributes to public policy and decision-making through data analysis, evaluation, and large-scale research projects conducted across the public sector.

Drawing on years of experience in statistics, research methodology, human behavior, and decision-making, Dr. Kilmen combines scientific insight with her own story of transformation. Through her writing, she aims to make the invisible workings of the mind more visible. Her primary goal is to help readers question automatic patterns of thought, recognize cognitive biases, and make more informed and reflective decisions.

She currently lives in Alberta, Canada, with her husband, two children, and their dog. She continues to write, conduct research, and explore the complexities of the human mind.
